Chocolate Sponge Cake
3 tbls. shortening
3 tbls. cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup sour milk
2 tsp. added to milk baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
- Mix shortening and cocoa until creamy, add eggs, sugar and salt.
- Stir well.
- Alternately add flour and milk.
- Add boiling water.
- Bake at 350 degrees.
